It is recommended that new applicants read through the application packet in order to familiarize themselves with the AESBL’s licensing requirements. After reading the packet, if you have any questions, you may call the office for additional information.
To assure that your application is processed in a timely manner, you must submit the following items to the AESBL:
- Completed, signed and notarized/witnessed application form
- All required supporting documentation
- Payment of fees
COMPANY LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Submit:
- A completed, signed and notarized/witnessed company application form
- Proof of at least $250,000 general liability insurance (company’s physical address must be on the declaration page)
- A state, city, or county business licensed issued through the State of Alabama
- A first-time admin fee of $150.00 made payable to the AESBL
- A fee of $300 for a sole proprietor or a fee of $400 for a corporation or LLC made payable to the AESBL
- An application for a Qualifying Agent must be submitted along with a company application
QUALIFYING AGENT AND INDIVIDUAL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
Submit:
- A completed, signed and notarized/witnessed Qualifying Agent application or Individual application
- A passport sized picture
- Training certificates required for the position(s) applied for
- A signed and notarized Affidavit of Applicant that complies with Alabama’s immigration law
- The ALEA forms required for a state/federal background check, two fingerprint cards, copy of your current driver’s license (not expired), and a fee of $38.25 made payable to ALEA (ALEA Form – page 18 / ALEA Form – page 18-1 )
- Qualifying Agent fee of $150, $100, or $50 (depending on disciplines licensed for) made payable to the AESBL
- Individual fee of $50.00 made payable to the AESBL
